HoliPan Care Guide
A well-maintained cast iron pan can last for generations.
The secret isn't complicated seasoning rituals—it's simply regular cooking and proper care.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Wash your HoliPan with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap, then dry thoroughly. Place the pan over low heat for a few minutes to remove any remaining moisture before cooking.
As you continue to cook with oils and fats, the seasoning layer will naturally develop and improve over time.

Everyday Cleaning
After cooking, allow your HoliPan to cool slightly before cleaning.
-
Remove food residue using warm water and a soft brush or sponge.
-
Mild dish soap is safe to use when needed.
-
Avoid soaking the pan in water for extended periods.
-
Dry immediately with a towel.
-
Place the pan over low heat for 2–3 minutes to remove any remaining moisture.
The most important rule: never store cast iron while it's still damp.
After-Care Routine
Once your HoliPan is completely dry and still slightly warm:
-
Apply a few drops of cooking oil.
-
Spread a very thin layer across the entire cooking surface.
-
Wipe away excess oil until the surface looks almost dry.
A thin layer protects the iron, helps prevent rust, and gradually builds a naturally non-stick cooking surface. Too much oil can leave a sticky finish, so less is more.
If Rust Appears, don't worry—rust is completely normal and easy to fix.
Simply scrub away the rust, wash and dry the pan thoroughly, then apply a thin coat of oil and heat the HoliPan to rebuild the protective seasoning layer.

The Best Way to Season Your HoliPan
The best seasoning comes from cooking.
Regularly preparing foods with oil or fat naturally strengthens the seasoning layer over time. The more you cook with your HoliPan, the better its cooking surface becomes.
As any well-loved cast iron pan, HoliPan develops its own character with every meal, every gathering, and every memory shared around the table.
